Police have released shocking CCTV footage of a ram raid where a stolen car was used to smash a glass door of a North Dunedin liquor store, causing $15,000 worth of damage. Dunedin police were investigating the Super Liquor store in Cumberland St about 4am on Wednesday last week. The offender or offenders gained entry to the store by driving a stolen car into a set of double doors, causing around $15,000 worth of damage, police said on social media this morning.,Once inside they took packets of cigarettes, before leaving in the stolen car. The car, which had been taken from outside a nearby student flat, was later found burned out at a quarry above Port Chalmers. Information could also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
