Video of the fire shows flames shooting from the house and huge plumes of dark smoke billowing from the blaze. Contractors were working to stabilise the badly fire-damaged property yesterday afternoon. A police spokesperson confirmed that officers were called to a house fire on Western Springs Rd about 7.20am.
