Four players scored in double figures Wednesday night as Washington State made the short trip across the border into Idaho and beat the Vandals 78-65 at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow. Tony Miller scored a game-high 18 points for the Cougars (4-4), making 6 of 7 shots from the field. Washington State pulled away with a 9-0 run early in the second half, capping it with Elleby’s dunk in transition for a 46-28 advantage with 16:19 remaining. Washington State wasted little time putting its stamp on the game, going up 7-0 just 1:44 into the game on two free throws by Jeff Pollard. Washington State almost doubled up the Vandals on the glass 23-12, not allowing an offensive rebound.
