(CNN) Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin is opposing Secret Service cost disclosures related to travel by President Donald Trump and his family until after the presidential election, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday. Mnuchin agreed to requirements that the agency disclose the President's and his adult children's travel, according to the Post. People monitoring Mnuchin's proposal told the Post that his insistence on reporting starting in 2021 probably aims to limit Democratic support. CNN has reached out to the Treasury Department and Secret Service for comment. In a statement to the Post, the department confirmed that Mnuchin had been collaborating with Secret Service Director James Murray and congressional committees on a bill to move the Secret Service from the Department of Homeland Security back to the Treasury Department, but did not comment on the disclosure timing clash.
