A warehouse and three factories caught fire in different parts of the city on Saturday and Sunday. A timber warehouse caught fire near Iqra University in Baloch Colony. According to fire department officials, timber worth thousands of rupees was reduced to ashes in the flames, while the cause of the fire could not immediately be ascertained. Fire department officials stated that the first factory to catch fire was a coconut oil processing unit, while the other was a LED screen manufacturing company. The last week has seen a spate of fires erupt at different locations across the metropolis, which fire department officials have attributed to the dry weather.
