The Afghan government is reeling, and the Afghan troops that Canada and other NATO nations trained are in full retreat. America, Britain, Canada and other nations went to war against the Taliban in 2001 because it sheltered al-Qaeda, the terrorist group responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks against America. President Joe Biden said he wanted all U.S. troops out of Afghanistan by Sept. 11 of this year. This is in addition to an existing program to bring to Canada Afghans who worked with the Canadian military and government.
