PETALING JAYA: A suspect wanted under the Prevention of Crime Act (Poca) 1959 has been arrested after a chase along the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE). Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shamsudin Mamat said the chase occurred on Wednesday (March 18) after the suspect attempted to avoid a police inspection. "A check on the vehicle's chassis number revealed that it had been reported stolen in Kuala Bera, Pahang." A check on the suspect revealed he had seven offences on his criminal record, including a wanted listing under Poca in the Kuala Bera area. ACP Shamsudin added that the suspect was remanded until today and will be handed over to their counterparts in Bera, Pahang.
