CTV is giving viewers a chance to attend tapings of its new TV series The Launch. The show has begun production in Toronto, with previously announced mentors Fergie and Ryan Tedder helping up-and-coming artists create and break new songs. After an international casting call and a review of more than 10,000 unsigned artists, 30 performers ranging from 13 to 43 and representing various musical styles have been chosen to take part in the series, CTV said in a news release. Over six hour-long episodes, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the process of breaking new artists and creating new original songs. Additional mentors, songwriters and producers are still to be announced.
