The bad news is that your license plate renewal fee is going up. In southern Ontario, it’ll jump from $108 to $120. In the north, it rises from $54 to $60. The good (all things are relative) news is that you can beat the pay hike if you renew by Sept. 1. You can pre-renew it up to six months in advance, meaning if your plates coming due in February, you can get the lower price by renewing before next Thursday.
