DETROIT— Tesla Inc. TSLA -0.98% was absent at the annual auto show here this month , but its new Model 3 sedan was still a hot ticket. The production bottlenecks mean very few people beyond employees, family members and company insiders have seen the Model 3 in person. Attendees at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit observe the chassis of Tesla's Model 3 car. Tesla shares shot up more than 6% earlier this month after automotive website The Drive published a lengthy Model 3 review. An earlier version of this article incorrectly said the Model 3 sold for $57,100 on eBay.
