Backing Udta Punjab, nearly 30,000 people signed a petition on the platform Change.org seeking to watch the film without any cuts. It's not just Bollywood actors, even common people are coming out in support of 'Udta Punjab'. The petitioner Mehakpal Singh hailing from Amritsar made a strong pitch for watching the Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Ali Bhatt-starrer Udta Punjab without any cut. "'There is no film more honest than Udta Punjab' as said by Anurag Kashyap. The petition in court was filed by Phantom Films, the makers of Udta Punjab, challenging the CBFC's 13 suggestions that effectively amounted to 94 cuts in the film.
