Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi filed a case on Tuesday seeking to suspend his year-long ban from Parliament over misconduct. The Cord coalition wants Wandayi back in Parliament. He also wants National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi stopped from taking any steps to block the parliamentary chambers, his office or the general precinct. Wandayi was among several opposition MPs who were thrown out of Parliament on March 31 for disrupting President Uhuru Kenyatta's State of the Nation address by whistling. Others were Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang, Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo, Nyando MP Fred Outa and Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati.
