A woman who had been charged with first-degree murder for the April 2013 death of Jason Skinner in Grand Falls-Windsor has been found guilty of manslaughter. Wanda Ash was originally charged with first-degree murder but during the trial, it was changed to manslaughter. Skinner was found seriously injured at his home in Grand Falls-Windsor by RCMP officers in April 2013. Another woman, Pamela Pike, was also arrested and charged, and will be tried by a jury at a later date. The case was the first jury trial in a long time in Grand Falls-Windsor.
