Wanaka parents will learn who the town's new learn-to-swim provider is on Thursday May 3. Long-serving swimming teacher Stacey Wells, of the Wanaka Swim Academy, is the town's only other learn-to-swim provider, except she does not teach in term three. Swimming NZ considers sole provider swim schools are best practice. The Wanaka Swim Club competitive training squad and an adult competitive training squad operate outside the scope of learn to swim.
