Photo: Kerrie WaterworthOne of Wanaka's main thoroughfares closed due to a mudslip from a construction site since Thursday night could be re-opened today. Queenstown Lakes District council issued a statement this morning in which they said they have spoken with the developers of the Marina Terrace Apartments on Lakeside Road Developers regarding removal of the landslide on Lakeside Road. "At present their intent is to begin removal of the slip from the road today subject to a review of dewatering the site over the weekend." Multiplied Investment Partners plan to build 44 apartments in three stages on the site.
