The chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence and Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Anti Corruption, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has commiserated with the victims of the Kasuwar Daji Sokoto market fire disaster, who lost assorted properties believed to be worth millions of naira. Consequently, unquantified properties had been razed by the inferno, largely onions, yams, vegetables, and fruits, resulting in huge losses incurred by the affected traders. Wamakko further expressed shock and sadness that the tragedy struck at a time when citizens were already experiencing some formidable hard times. I am hereby commiserating with all the victims and we are sharing your unexplainable griefs. We will continue to be with you and we will stand with you,” Wamakko said.
