A huge emergency service presence is on the scene in Walsall, West Midlands following the blast. At around 6.30am what is believed to have been a gas explosion ripped through a terraced house, Birmingham Mail reported. Eyewitnesses said gas engineers are now preparing to dig up the road to make the supply safe. West Midlands Fire Service tweeted: "Crews from Walsall, Willenhall and Bilston are currently in attendance to reports of a Gas explosion on Darlaston Road, Walsall, working together with Ambulance, Police and Gas board.
