Daniel Chapman, who has 40 offences on his record, mainly for theft, targeted branches of Sainsbury's and the Co-op six times in a month. Two-days-later, he targeted the Co-op, in Gosforth Park, and stole chocolate and laundry products, worth £354. Prosecutor, Sarah Malkinson, added: "The third offence, on May 14, happened at the same Co-op when the defendant stole £350-worth of confectionary and laundry products. On June 6, the defendant stole £42-worth of alcohol from the Co-op in Wideopen. "Finally, on June 8, the defendant stole £110-worth of alcohol from the Co-op in Wideopen."
