The average compensation for employees of Wall Street firms climbed more than 10% last year, according to a report released Monday. The average salary and bonus for employees at broker-dealer firms in New York City increased to $422,500 in 2017 and to $389,000 for securities-industry employees on Long Island, according to New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli’s annual survey.
