Fellow mountaineers tried to resuscitate the experienced walker as rescuers rushed to Aran Benllyn just before 10am on Saturday, WalesOnline reports. A Coastguard helicopter was also sent to the mountain range along with the Aberdyfi Search and Rescue Team, but the aircraft was unable to reach the man due to low cloud cover.
