Anyone from the arts or worlds of media, politics and sport can be put forward, along with educators and industrialists. To be nominated, they made a recognisable impact in their specialist category, be originally from the area or have prominent links to the town. The trail will run throughout the Paisley First BID area and phase one will see at least six commemorative stones being laid. The experience will be enhanced with added extras on the Paisley First app, which will also highlight the town's historic buildings. Councillor Lisa-Marie Hughes, chair of the Future Paisley Partnership Board, said: "This is a very exciting project for Paisley and I'm delighted that the community can have their say on who should be recognised with their very own star.
