Gareth Anscombe has lost his appeal against his restrictive pay bracket under the Wales system. The Wales pay structure sees an unhappy Anscombe placed in a bracket where he can earn no more than $677,000. Ironically his rise this year left Lions player Dan Biggar on the bench for most of Wales' Six Nations campaign. But a Welsh Rugby Union appeals panel heard Anscombe's case and ruled against a pay increase, sticking to the structure in place.
