Busia Senator Amos Wako has differed with NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga on the decision to not support independent candidates in the August 8 polls. Raila asked his supporters to only vote for NASA-affiliated parties, saying this will boost his chances for victory and support when he becomes President. But Wako said Kenyans should be free to elect any candidate they want. Wako said independent candidates are strong on their own and do not need support from other quarters. Otuoma lost the ODM ticket to Ojaamong, then opted to vie as an independent candidate.
