×Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu who has been accused of using offensive words against the state has been charged. Waititu was opposed to taking a plea saying the charges against him were defective but Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina said they were properly drawn. He, however, denied the charges of offensive conduct and was released on Sh50,000 bond. The matter will be mentioned on Wednesday for pre-trial. The court also directed the investigating officer Andrew Ngowa to bring with him Waititu's phone which was confiscated at the time he was arrested.
