Cheung Kie-chung bought wood planks in an attempt to build a wooden crate to hide his wife's dead body. The former University of Hong Kong academic Cheung Kie-chung cried his voice out recalling the moments transporting his wife’s dead body, the high court heard today. He revealed that he later bought six wood planks wanting to create a wooden box to hide the body, as the body would soon smell under the summer weather placing on the balcony. “I don’t want to throw her body away, I don’t want to dump her body into the sea or at the trash collection point,” said Cheung, crying his voice out. The 56-year-old previously pleaded not guilty to murder but admits manslaughter, after killing his wife on August 17, 2018.
