(File photo)A former Waikato teacher who had sex with a student in his classroom after school has been sent to jail for two years. The offending occurred in 2016 when the girl was 15-and-a-half years old and a student at the Waikato high school where the teacher was described as a popular and well-liked member of staff. Cooper said the teacher took the girl to his classroom after hours where they had sex two nights in a row. Cooper also quoted from a victim impact statement where the teacher's victim said she knew their relationship was wrong.
