The city’s FMG Stadium was announced as one of the host venues for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and Hamilton business leaders are thrilled with the news. Hamilton has previously hosted FIFA events including the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup 2008 and the FIFA Under-20 World Cup 2015. But hosting an event the size of the FIFA World Cup, credit must be given where it’s due.
