A Waikato football club has been dealing with the “massive” issue of Canada geese for years, a member says. A flock of about 180 Canada geese has been living at Lake Hakanoa Domain and eating their way through grass at the Huntly Thistle Football Club. Huntly Thistle Football Club member Kevin Lynch told Stuff the geese were a “massive” nuisance, as well as a health and safety risk. Community connections manager Megan May said staff were considering “multiple solutions” to the geese problem at Lake Hakanoa.
