A woman is in a critical condition after falling off her motor scooter and hitting her head while out riding on Waiheke Island. A police spokeswoman said the scooter crash happened just after 2.15pm on Moa Ave in Oneroa. The woman in her thirties was rushed to Auckland City Hospital by Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter, the spokeswoman said.
