Wa West MP launches 'Water is Wealth' project to support dry season farming

The project aims to boost dry-season farming and enhance agricultural productivity in the constituency. As part of the launch, thirty-five (35) pumping machines along with essential accessories were distributed to six groups, including three women’s cooperatives and 29 individual farmers, to facilitate irrigation during the dry-season. He also acknowledged the media for their role in educating the public and sharing information about the project. The “Water is Wealth” initiative is expected to improve access to irrigation, increase crop yields during the dry season and empower farmers particularly women to strengthen their livelihoods and contribute to the constituency’s agricultural development.
