The American wrestling giant revealed turnover for the year ending December 2018 rose 29% on 2017 to $272.5m - around £210m. The figures were aided by the continued growth of the ever popular WWE Network, where the number of paid subscribers rose to $1.65m, an 8% growth from 2017. Despite attendances sliding 7% in the US, WWE continue to show signs of growth overseas. And even though the company ran fewer events out of America last year, average international attendances rose by a whopping 33%. Both deals played a big part in the company’s record results, with WWE seeing a near $100m increase earned from distribution of media.
