Despite their legitimate athletic backgrounds, Fury and Velasquez aren’t WWE stars in the traditional sense of the phrase, so it’s no wonder that WWE stars are worried about how Strowman and Lesnar will fare against them at Crown Jewel. In an ideal world, WWE’s new TV deals will result in more viewers watching Raw and SmackDown while those crossover stars are used to put WWE’s own stars over. WWE stars have every right to be worried about its own stars getting buried for the sake of a brief spike in TV viewership.
