The logic behind that is simple: WWE doesn’t want those stars to leave WWE only to become household names in AEW, which WWE clearly views as its new No. Earlier this year, a number of WWE stars were reportedly angry with the massive push of Shane McMahon due to the huge amount of TV time he took up each and every week.
