At Sunday's WWE Fastlane 2019 pay-per-view, the brief reunion of The Shield appeared to conclude with Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns winning in decisive fashion in Reigns' first match since returning from his battle with leukemia. Despite WWE publicly acknowledging two months ago that Ambrose would be leaving, new reports indicate that might not be going anywhere. According to Cageside Seats, "There’s a lot of speculation, including among people backstage at WWE, that Dean Ambrose will be staying with the company." Certainly, given what went down at Fastlane when Ambrose and The Shield looked like they haven't missed a beat, signs are pointing toward Ambrose getting a major WrestleMania match and sticking around afterward. Because if Ambrose isn't leaving, Ambrose sure is doing its best to appease him on his way out.
