WWE put the Intercontinental title on Shinsuke Nakamura at Extreme Rules 2019, indicating he has re-signed with the company. Credit: WWE/TwitterWWE has suddenly put a renewed focus on Shinsuke Nakamura, who beat Finn Balor at Extreme Rules to win his first-ever Intercontinental Championship. In January 2018, he won the Royal Rumble match in route to that aforementioned WrestleMania 34 title match against Styles. After Nakamura defeated Balor to become Intercontinental Champion at Extreme Rules, it appears WWE is doing what it did with Rusev last year. With WWE booking Nakamura's Extreme Rules title match win, maybe WWE is trying to appease Nakamura and convince him to stay.
