Comedian Ron Funches, host of Nice One on Quibi, recently embarked on a venture into pro wrestling of his own. Alumni include Brody King (New Japan Pro Wrestling), Tyler Bateman (ROH), Heather Monroe (AEW) and Jake Atlas (WWE NXT). “I love all of wrestling, I love WWE, AEW, NJPW, I even love GCW with barbed wires and light poles,” Funches told me in a phone interview. Funches noted he currently prefers AEW over WWE“I think AEW is the better show right now, I think they have the better storylines,” said Funches.
