Four of the best-known supermodels in recent history—Gemma Ward, Alek Wek, Karen Elson and Amber Valletta—are featured in this issue’s khaki fashion story. In envisioning the shoot, says stylist Clare Richardson, “I really wanted to cast an amazing group of women who I think embrace beauty, timelessness and strength.” The fashion, meanwhile, emphasized “wardrobe staples that don’t overtake you,” Richardson adds. Photographer Campbell Addy worked in a direct, unvarnished style, creating images that capture a sense of energy and movement. “I wanted to shoot the women in a way that was regal, honest, pure,” he says.
