MONTPELLIER — After weeks of pre-tournament preparation, Canada’s national women’s team will finally take the field at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Canada’s best finish at a World Cup was fourth in 2003 and it believes a championship is a legitimate goal. “I think the pressure has changed a little, it’s now pressure we’re putting on ourselves,” Scott said. “It is a great challenge, Canada is one of the best teams in the world,” Cameroon captain Christine Maine said. “What we’ve seen is definitely a very, very skillful team, they have some very fast players, midfielders who can play and they’re a physical team,” Heiner-Moller said.
