Share:World Health Organisation (WHO) lauded Pakistan government's efforts for safe and swift evacuations and airlifts from Afghanistan. In a statement, Dr. Ahmed Ali Mandhari, Regional Director, WHO thanked the national airline, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and said that timely operations by PIA saved thousands of human lives. He went on to thank the government of Pakistan and PIA for their efforts to support WHO and the people of Afghanistan. "The support of the Pakistani people has been timely and life-saving," he concluded.
