The Brazilian coach just led the Philippine women's volleyball team to its first-ever podium finish in any AVC tournament, as Alas clinched a bronze medal via 25-23, 25-15, 25-7 win over Australia in the battle for third place at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila on May 29.
