Dhaka Tribune37 candidates have already been elected unopposedThe voting in the third phase elections to 63 municipalities across Bangladesh is underway. In the third round of elections, voters are stamping ballot papers to choose their representatives though electronic voting machines (EVMs) were used in the first and second phases of municipality polls. In the first phase, polls were held to 24 municipalities on December 28. In the second phase, polls were held to 60 municipalities on January 16. In the fourth phase, elections will be held to 56 municipalities on February 14 and polls to remaining 31 municipalities will be held in the fifth phase on February 28.
