Voting in Tipperary constituency will now go ahead on Saturday

Voting in Tipperary will now go ahead on Saturday along with the rest of the country, returning officer for the constituency James Seymour has confirmed. He told RTÉ voting in the constituency will go ahead with “the existing ballot paper which has all 14 candidates, including the late Ms Skehan, on it”. “I understand that advice has now been given and on foot of that advice we can proceed,” Mr Seymour said. He said it was always open for anyone to challenge the election going ahead through the courts. 3.2 of the Constitution, states that a general election must be held not later than 30 days after the dissolution of the Dáil.
