Vontaze Burfict celebrates Kirk Cousins pick-six by dancing in FedEx Field stands

The low point of the Washington Redskins’ 2017 preseason thus far, non-injury edition, occurred on their first drive of the second quarter of Sunday’s game at FedEx Field. Washington’s first-team offense had 22 total yards and a single first down to its name when Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict undercut a Kirk Cousins third-down pass intended for Chris Thompson and returned it 62 yards for a touchdown. It is debatable whether Cousins’s throw or the stiff-arm he received from Burfict while trying to push him out of bounds before the end zone was the worst part of the play. Things would get better for Cousins and the Redskins. Cousins finished the game 10 for 19 for 109 yards, an interception and one ill-advised missed tackle.
