The Polestar 2 will go head to head with the Tesla Model 3, be built in China and have a range of about 275 miles. The Polestar brand is a plug-in/EV brand spun off from Volvo, which is owned by Chinese automaker Geely. For example, the Polestar will have a “vegan” interior, rather than leather option, and the car can be unlocked and started via smartphone. It will also come with an automatic-driving option, as well as a feature that allows the car to park itself. The Polestar 1, the brand's first car, is a high-performance plug-in hybrid produced in limited numbers and the Polestar 3, which has not yet been shown yet, is a fully electric SUV.
