Paisan Yalae, 27, sustained more than six gunshot wounds in a deadly ambush by several gunmen. The killers then stole his gun and a bulletproof vest from his pickup. Police are investigating whether Paisan’s killing is related to the ongoing unrest in the deep South or any personal conflict. Paisan’s parents and elder brother were also killed during the past two years. They fled the scene after taking his gun and bulletproof vest.
