IHC’s division bench, comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, suspended Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui’s order while hearing an intra-court appeal against the order. Petitioner had challenged the collection of summer vacation fees, claiming that since private schools remain closed for over two months during this period, therefore they were not entitled to charge tuition fees and other expenses from students for that period. However, the division bench on Wednesday overturned that order and adjourned the case. The order has been hailed by private schools association. “[Decision] is the victory of Private Schools Federation’s point of view,” said Kashif Mirza, the president of the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation.
