Yes, Prime MinisterJustin Trudeau is Canada’s prime minister. Recently, we incorrectly called him its president, and another article incorrectly said the prime minister is Pierre Trudeau (Justin’s father, a former prime minister). As prime minister, Justin Trudeau is the head of government, but technically not the head of state, points out Paul Vieira of our Ottawa bureau. (That title belongs to Queen Elizabeth II, who is represented in Canada by the governor general, whom the prime minister appoints/nominates. PM is also acceptable for prime minister in limited headline situations, such as British Voters Deal a Blow to PM Johnson.
