But not all conversations are the same, and Wu et al describe two broad approaches to enabling conversations to take place. But both interventions are counter-cultural to the prevailing zeitgeist in the health system for they do not deliver quick fixes. The idea that what constitutes “good” in healthcare consists of more than good biomedical outcomes has long been the view of the Point of Care Foundation. We believe these practices should be embedded across the NHS and social care system.
