Voicemails from nursing home where patients died deleted from Florida governor's phone, report says

The help-seeking voicemails from a nursing home where 11 people died during Hurricane Irma have been deleted from Florida Gov. CBS4 in Miami reported Friday that it requested copies of the voicemails but the governor’s office said they had been deleted. “The voicemails were not retained because the information from each voicemail was collected by the governor’s staff and given to the proper agency for handling,” a spokeswoman told the outlet. At least 11 patients at the Rehabilitation Center at Hollywood Hills have died since Irma hit South Florida. Four voicemails were left on Scott’s phone, according to the report.
