Voci will also receive a 3 percent raise, bringing his salary to $104,435, excluding benefits, an increase opposed by two of the five board members. "I know when we first hire a principal, we usually give them a three-year contract," Grant said. "I know it's not unanimous, but I know the board supports what we're trying to do here," Voci said. Voci was hired in 1995 after four principal searches in five years by the school board.
